App: Word Finder
Last updated: 7 June 2026

Data sent to our server

When you perform a word search, the app sends your search input (letters and any word pattern constraints) and your selected language to our server at skjelland.net for processing. The server returns matching words and does not store, log, or retain your search queries. All communication is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

As with any HTTPS connection, standard technical data such as your IP address and device platform information is transmitted as part of the request. This data is not stored or used to identify you.

No account or directly identifying data collected by Word Finder

The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or other directly identifying information.

Advertising

The app displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect and use data such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and approximate location inferred from your IP address to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.

Where required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your advertising consent before requesting ads. Your choices may affect whether ads are personalised or non-personalised. You can also manage ad personalisation in your device settings or at g.co/adsettings.

To learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also review Google's Privacy Policy.

Local storage

The app may save preferences, such as selected language or dictionary and maximum number of matches, locally on your device. Google UMP and AdMob may also store your consent and advertising preferences locally. You can remove local app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Data retention and deletion

Word Finder does not store search queries on its server, so there are no server-side search records to delete. Locally stored preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Advertising data handled by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's policies and your Google/device settings.
